After Bath Splash

Use as much as you like since this scent is very light.

This recipe is invigorating after you get out of the tub or shower. I like to use it after a morning shower because it's a great wake-me-up. And it is SO easy, it uses any plant material you like , or you can make it with essential oil.

1 quart glass canning jar
1 cup plant material or 16 ml of essential oil
2 cups vodka

To use plants:

1. Place plants in the jar and cover with vodka.
2. Let stand for 2 weeks, shaking daily to infuse the scent.
3. Strain out the plants.
4. After 2 weeks, bottle and use.
  To use Essential Oil:
It's a lot faster with pure essential oils.

1. Pour vodka into the jar
2. Add 1 ml of essential oil per ounce of vodka
3. Let sit for a couple of days, shaking daily
4. Bottle and use

Glycerin Body Mist

A wonderful product for dry skin. The glycerin replaces the oils removed from your skin each time you wash.

3 ounces distilled water
1 ounce glycerin
4 ml essential oil
4 ml alcohol
(we use Everclear (tm) that we get from a liquor store)

1. Combine all the ingredients
2. Mist over desired areas of body and rub in (Shake well before each use)

Basic Lip balm

2 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp. beeswax
1 vitamin E capsule (optional)

3 - 4 ml of essential or flavoring oils
(amount depends on oils used)

1. Melt all of the above items together
2. Pour into lip balm container (You can use a heavy plastic children's medicine dropper found at drug stores to fill lip balm tubes)
3. Allow to cool

There are endless variations using more and less of different ingredients, and other moisturizers for the lips. Various Essential Oils and flavors may be added to taste. Try a few drops of Peppermint , Rosemary , Orange or Lemon Essential Oils, or any other essential oils you might enjoy! You can use the candy flavorings oils found in the candy making shops!

Makes approximately 2 oz of lip balm

Lotion Bars in 4 easy steps!

Equal parts
Beeswax
Cocoa butter

Grapeseed oil
20 drops of essential oil per 3 oz of oils

1. Melt beeswax on stove.
2. Add cocoa butter and grapeseed oil. Stir until butter is entirely melted and oils are mixed.
3. Pour into molds and allow to harden.

Try using more or less of different fixed oils (that are safe for skin use) to add other moisturizing properties in your lotion bars. The important thing is to have a butter or oil ingredient that will harden and stay hardened at room temperature. Not having this, will give you a liquid mixture of oils that you will have to rub into your skin, and not a bar! Various Essential Oils and flavors may be added to vary the scent.

Crisco Hand Cream

Crisco (tm) is just a blend of veggie oils and will make a nice hand cream if you can get past the idea of using shortening.
Give this one a try.

4 ounces Crisco (tm)
2 ounces beeswax
2 ounces glycerine
2 tablespoons liquid lecithin
4 fluid ounces distilled water

1. Melt all ingredients together just until liquid
2. Mix with a whisk until it begins to thicken well
3. Pour into a jar and allow to cool
4. Use as needed
